The CA3 group is composed of a research and development team and a group of qualified scientific advisors directly involved in R&D projects where CA3 is a partner.

We also have a variable number of visiting scientists and collaborators working with us. The former member section has previous group members.

Ehsan Shahamatnia - Research and Development Team
Ehsan Shahamatnia is a PhD candidate of the Electrical and Computer Engineering program (DEEC) at Universidade Nova de Lisboa. He received a BSc. degree in software engineering and a MSc. degree in artificial intelligence and robotics in 2006 and 2010 respectively. His Master's thesis topic involved development of a hybrid swarm intelligence system for computer vision and tracking deformable objects. He is currently a researcher at CA3-Computational Intelligence Research Group of UNINOVA, where he participates in applied research and development projects to create solutions for real-world problems mainly from space domain. His main focus for doctoral studies is developing a framework for processing solar images and analyzing solar features and proposing a tool for solar feature characterization and tracking.
