MUSEP (MUlti-mission Science Exploitation Platform)
Project Summary

Current and past missions have been demonstrating that the focus shall be put on creating IT infrastructures capable of allowing user to access, process, analyse and distribute data on the fly rather than locally. The idea is to explore the concept of "bring your algorithms to the data", as way of exploring these very large archives without having to download massive quantities of data.

The aim of MUSEP is to develop a SEPP (Multi Mission Science Exploitation and Preservation Platform) system, capable of supporting the exploitation and preservation of multi-mission scientific data and products, eradicating the need to have custom vertical solutions for each mission. Thus, the design must anticipate common needs to define a suitable set of features for future mission specific systems to be built on top of it.

The project will validate the SEPP concept, by building a functional demonstrator for specific use cases to be defined by the end-user community.
